He's your average shy guy next door. Happy receiving lovey dovey text messages from a female stalker. Or poking a random joke on his colleague. He would seem a regular office goer to you. Only this gentleman doesn't work in a chota mota company but is actually a secret agent on duty. That too without weapons and tech friendly gadgets. Yup, no Q or bikini clad gals for him. Boo hoo!!
Meet Prabhat (Arjun Kapoor) who is now assigned a covert operation of nabbing India's most wanted terrorist no one has ever met or seen. This baddie is only a large bulging eye who is infamous as the Ghost who bombs.
Loosely based on capture of Yasin Bhatkal (renamed Yousuf here), India's Most Wanted has an interesting story to tell. Prabhat leads a team of four who are as dedicated to their motherland as he is. "Naukri paison ke liye nahi, desh ke liye" they tell their ever supportive senior officer (Rajesh Sharma, impressive).Travelling to Nepal as tourists, the team gets cracking on the seemingly impossible mission. With no help whatsoever from the Central Government. Its pre 2014, remember.
If you expect an edge of seat thriller a la Bond James Bond, the film might disappoint. Director Raj Kumar Gupta tries to keep the narrative as realistic as possible and hence, the screenplay is devoid of thrills and chills but still remains fairly engaging throughout it's two hours plus run time.
Gupta also correctly highlights the Government apathy and bureaucratic difficulties faced by intelligence bureau agents on duty. At least in that bygone era.
Of the cast, Arjun Kapoor is rightfully restrained and sombre as Prabhat. Having said that, he isn't able to rise above the script and make his own mark something an Akshay Kumar or a Ranveer Singh would've easily done in this role.
The villain's character also remains largely underdeveloped. He keeps harping about "jihad against kafirs" through his bulging myopic eyes which ooze fire. Sorry Janab, but still is ineffective!!
On the tech front, the background score is a winner. The scenic Nepal locales are well picturised. Inspite being an espionage drama, action is sparingly used which may or may not be a good thing depending on your appetite for dhishoom dhishoom.
The end result is not as impressive as 'Aamir' (2008) and 'No One Killed Jessica' (2011) but not as pheeka as 'Ghanchakkar' (2013) either. India's Most Wanted falls somewhere in between Raj Kumar Gupta's filmography till date (in best to worst ranking). Nevertheless, the director deserves praise for taking a calculated risk of embracing restraint and realism in place of slick car chases and gun blazing action sequences. It may work for some; not work for many. Hota hai..chalta hai...theek hai!
The film isn't your typical desi Bond. But still merits a one time watch for telling an interesting tale. Doesn't matter if it takes it's own sweet time to get to that point

This film could have been so much better had they really invested great actors into the project. They took Arjun Kapoor who looks overweight and completely disinterested into the role and does not have any acting skills to boast of. He has survived on YRF projects initially but now people just do not like or root for him. You expect better from a director of No One Killed Jessica and Aamir. You missed the bus totally this time Mr Gupta and as for Kapoor, I am already worried about the losses Ashutosh Gowarikar shall face after the debacle of Panipat.

The movie is based on real life incidents and character. The movie had great potential to be a racy thriller with crisp editing, removing unnecessary song and making Arjun Kapoor emote better. The supporting actors have done well. The religious angle could have been maintained constant instead of mixing multiple religion references. The cinematography was nice and Nepal is a beautiful country. The film could have been much better.

This movie had a good story to work with, but the movie did no justice to it whatsoever. Don't think that Arjun Kapoor was the best choice for the lead. I don't think the manhunt played well on screen at all considering the gravity of the events. This movie is an earnest thriller with boring performances let down by its underwhelming pacing issues.

India's most wanted has an interesting story to tell. In this movie Prabhat leads a team which is as much dedicated to motherland as he is. They travelled to Nepal as tourists and search for the terrorists. The movie is amazing in action, director Raj Kumar gupta has tried well, but it can move more better. If you love patriotic movies and fan of Arjun kapoor then definitely go for it.

India's most wanted is a great movie that discovers the journey of a person who did everything he can to save our country from getting into the wrong hands. The cast, chosen for this movie, was perfect in my opinion. Arjun Kapoor came out of that horrific role of Namastey England and divulges himself in this movie. Overall the movie is good and the actor's performances were okayish. But some scenes and some songs could've been trimmed to avoid the boredom it caused. Otherwise it'd fare more than it actually did. One time watch for sure, so that you know the story behind all of this.

Inspired by true event. We must salute to our intelligence officers who whole heartedly work for our country. A series of synchronized bomb blasts that took place in 2008 at different states of India were picturised in the movie. Yusuf was the man behind all these blasts with ISIS terrorist organisation. Without funding and spending our own money, operation was executed to arrest India's most wanted terrorist, Yusuf by our brave indian officers and their team. Direction was good and creates interest in the movie. Character seems to be real and no exaggeration was shown. Acting done by each character was good, and Arjune Kapoor did fabulous job this time. Language used in the movie is captivating. One time watch.

India's Most Wanted is an unbelievable story where 5 Unlikely heroes saves the billions and never gets the fame and credit for that. Five patriots from a small town team up to capture India's Most Wanted Terrorist and travels to Nepal without any official back-up. Can they manage to get him Or they fail? You get all the anwers in the film. Writing viz the film looks healthy but the Screenwriting seems outdated and melodramatic. As an Actor Arjun Kapoor finally gets a full-fledged acting role and does the Justice to his part by fair Margin than earlier ones. Supporting cast is impressive while Jeetendra Shashtri as 'Friend' steals the limelight. Amit Trivedi fails to give the needed musical support. Actually, the chase films which are more curved towards story-telling should not have mainstream music. Editing by Banerjee is pacy if you can exclude songs and unneeded portion.

Arjun Kapoor is sincere but is unable to engage you fully with the trials and tribulations of his character. He does little to uplift the film that solely works for its story. The crime drama holds your attention despite the odds, given the gravity of the events it chronicles. It’s commendable how Raj Kumar Gupta doesn’t fall for the staples needless songs, glamorous female character and jingoism.

My rating will be AVERAGE for this movie. This movie is about the unsung heroes of the country who don't get much appreciation in front of the world but will do the most dangerous job for their country. Arjun Kapoor is sincere in his acting and does justice to his role and others also performed well as per assigned roles. It is the story that needs to be heard and it is the last half an hour where the films take off.

It is the fate of unsung heroes to indulge in their heroics when no one is watching. Overall the movie is a good watch and showcases Arjun Kapoor's pure acting skills. This is a good movie to watch with while family. It has some good action scenes too to make it more interesting.

My money didn't get wasted on watching this movie 'India's Most Wanted'.I enjoyed watching this movie.Suspense was outstanding.Acting as well as comedy was also good especially of Arjun Kapoor and his chief.I liked the relationship between Arjun and his chief.Serious and calm characters suits Arjun's legacy of acting and with him his co-actors were also the best. The way in which it showed the relationship of Arjun with his girlfriend was very cute and adorable.Action was less in this film but it was fine with the theme of this movie and though the choice of places could have been better but it was also acceptable as its a documentary.

I love the movie, because it is based on true incidents . The story revolves around a four-day manhunt for a mysterious terrorist by a covert Bihar police outfit in Nepal. I think the movie does have a good story, but unfortunately, its full potential has not been mined. Also Arjun Kapoor work is appreciable, but Akshay Kumar or actors like Vicky Kaushal , Ayushman Khurrana definitely would be a good choice.

It is Baby wanna be movie. It's story line is very similar to Baby movies but plot is not that tight. It gets very boring except some high points. Actors also not used very well. For general user it is my recommendation to give it miss. Arjun kapoor tries very hard to revive the story but story is very monotonous.

Good Movie ! A well-meaning thriller too restrained to be memorable. While the basic idea is fine - a ragtag team of unimpressive men setting out to capture " India's osama", there is little that leaves an impact. The film subscribe to the problematic trend of underscoring scenes of terrorism with strains of Islamic music.

So what does India really need at this time when Modiji has just scripted a resounding victory for his second term. The Country is in a celebratory mood and what better way to rejoice in this nationalist fervour than have a celluloid party to treat yourself to. And Bollywood is quick to oblige - with not one, but two offerings in this week to make sure that the audience is spoilt for choice. I still haven't gathered courage to watch the other one which is more specifically about our Political Leader. But took a chance with this one - India's Most Wanted. Celebrating the patriotic spirit which has gripped our Nation currently was the order of the day - and the order from the Missus for booking of tickets was something which could not be disregarded. So off we went to see a Movie which was totally devoid of a star cast. But it has Arjun Kapoor in the lead. So I reiterate my point that after a long gap, Bollywood has come up with a Commercial Movie barren of a star cast. Maybe the Producers were on a shoe-string budget. Maybe the Producers just wanted to spite the Public and serve up a dish so dry - that they refused to even have a female lead in the movie. Again a novelty which is being seen in a Bollywood Commercial Movie after eons. Then maybe at some stage of filming, even the Producers realized that they were playing with fire, as far as making of Commercial Movies go, as they were doing a Project with no star cast and no female lead - maybe then they felt that they had to have a safety net. So they roped in the self-proclaimed Badashah of India Cinema - SRK himself - that too for not one ........ but two scenes. The only saving grace, for me, was that they had the good sense of not showing the titular character in frame and neither did they have him voicing any dialogue. So why did they have him referred to in the movie at all ????? Initially I thought it may have been to add masala to a dry film - but then as the movie unfolds - the brilliance of the movie, the brilliance of the makers, the brilliance of the non-star actors - all comes to the fore ......... and how ........ the movie is a visual treat of 124 minutes. And ofcourse the reference - done twice - to the Superstar SRK is justified in the end credits and that is when we realize that the very able Director did not need masala for anything dry - but it was a great way to integrate that particular incident related to the Superstar in the story. And the Director is pretty able. Knows his trade. He has a good repertoire of films in his kitty already. And his earlier products have been pretty mean achievements as well. Aamir, No one killed Jessica, Raid - all have had critical acclaim. Raj Kumar Gupta dishes out another spellbinding thriller, which has all the right ingredients - a good tight script, a story based on true events, fantastic unchartered locales, great cinematography and very importantly he derives the greatest acting skills from his non-star cast. The maraduering team of misfits out to effectuate a capture which for a number of years has eluded the most potent intelligence agencies of the Country. The Primary Informer. The Secondary Source - who has probably essayed the role of his lifetime. The leader of this gang of merry men - Rajesh Sharma, who is getting better with each passing movie. The other cogs in the wheel like the Pakistani Intelligence Officers, their Nepali counterparts, the Terrorist - all the non-stars have put in a very determined and effective showing. Maybe the collective whole of non-stars realized that they needed to step forward in the absence of a Star to lift up the movie. And how well do they do it.

Another film on terrorism and nabbing the most wanted terrorist. Arjun Kapoor, as usual presented his emotion less acting. The idea of nabbing the terrorist is good, but it would have been great if it is presented in a better way. There is no plot, some of the scenes were exaggerated. The entire film looks like a mockery. The police set out themselves breaking the protocols. The film lacks material to keep the audience alive and gripping. Expect the climax, there is hardly any material in the film. A good storyline would have made this beautiful and gripping. Arjun Kapoor needs improvement.

Manpreet posted a review for India`s Most Wanted in Movies
India’s Most Wanted opens with a scene of the deadly blasts that took place in Pune’s famous German Bakery followed by a series of blasts that ripped across the country—in Hyderabad, in Jaipur and so on. The terror plot-frame set firmly in place; the film is quick to cut to the chase with Prabhat Kapoor (Arjun Kapoor), an intelligence officer on the trail of ‘India’s Osama’ who thinks nothing of spilling the blood of innocents. Kapoor finds a tentative lead about the culprit hiding in Nepal and voila; he sets off with a ragtag army to save the nation. Unfortunately, Director Raj Kumar Gupta in keeping the story firmly tethered to reality does not allow it to soar. As a result, a thoroughly intriguing story ends up being fairly linear with hardly any surprises or reveals. Unlike Raid, Gupta’s film last year, which was about a grueling tax raid that resulted in many surprises before a triumphant end, India’s Most Wanted is underwhelming despite a premise that is vastly intriguing. A cursory treatment of local or procedural minutiae with scant attention to details ends up blunting the edge off a sinister plot, considerably.

Entire plot looks very flimsy. Barring for climax there’s nothing interesting or intriguing to keep audiences at the edge of their seats. In fact, nine people for the mission seems like a crowd with half of them not even involved in the act. It becomes really hard to believe that these officers regularly invested their personal savings for such missions. None of them have been shown to possess special qualities, to be selected for the task. Arjun Kapoor himself looks very tired from the beginning till end. His emotionless acting touching the peak this time.

Yusuf is #IndiasMostWanted terrorist, accused of direct involvement in over 10 separate bombings in India. Some intelligence officers go to nepal to nab him. This group comprises simple, middle class, nameless guys. They have no weapons, no emotional or financial backing. They have been successful in the past, but no one is aware of their existence. So how do they do it? Performances r decent. But the film isnt gripping. The indian govts apathy is well depicted.

Raju posted a review for India`s Most Wanted in Movies
The movie presents a realistic, low-key portrayal of an undercover operation. However, this works as a double-edged sword. The absolute lack of dramatisation makes it a slow burn crime drama instead of an edge of the seat thriller that you might expect it to be. Things are underplayed to the extent that they lack the palpable tension that you expect from a story like this. The terrorist’s mindset finds a platform at regular intervals in the form of what jihad means to him, which seems repetitive beyond a point. What then keeps you engaged is the sheer audacity of the covert operation and the officers’ nerves of steel. Arjun Kapoor is sincere but is unable to engage you fully with the trials and tribulations of his character. He does little to uplift the film that solely works for its story. The crime drama holds your attention despite the odds, given the gravity of the events it chronicles. It’s commendable how Raj Kumar Gupta doesn’t fall for the staples — needless songs, glamorous female character and jingoism. IMW is an earnest ode to the unsung heroes of our country — a story that deserves to be heard.

India's Most wanted is a action thriller movie based on the story of the under cover cops who is on an operation to convict the most wanted terrorist. the movie is an absolute hit with no other doubt that except for the visuals which can be far more better than what the director had choose. if this has been done by any other director with good visuals with the same passion as this director, then the movie would have been talk of the town and might have achieved great success without doubt. The director did do his job well in most of the cases except the visuals which is a bit degrades the movie. However it is a one time watchable even with this level

The movie India's most wanted is a movie about how the undercover cops find the india's most wanted terrorist who is harmful and dreadful. The movie not only deals with the plans and the problems faced by the police but also the story of the terrorist, how he became one and also how he hides or attacks when he is under threat. The director has a clear knowledge and grip on the story and that is why the movie is so excellent. Any other director could not have made this film so beautiful with the sceneries around and the apt music to make a wonderful experience. The movie is a must watchable for the thriller or action kinda movie loving buffs.

'Indias Most Wanted' is a superb movie. Based on a true set of events, the movie is mostly cut and dried without a heroine. Arjun Kapoor excels in carrying the movie in his shoulders all by himself and ably supported by unknown actors who play his team. How a secret mission is taken up, what are their personal, family and financial challenges? how do they handle the sloppy, diplomatic indecisiveness, how Arjun Kapoor persuades each matter with different strokes for different folks - the grit and commitment and determination to do something for the country are shown subtly and beautifully.

The story was interesting, and the direction was excellent. The story deals with the under cover cops hunting for a terrorist and their adventures during the same. The story deals with the emotions and reasons and beliefs of different characters and also involves the planning strategies implemented by both the terrorists and the police. The story was crispy but felt the visuals can be far better than this and this makes me reduce the rating from Awesome to impressive. The movie is a watchable for the film lovers and action loving people.

The story of five officers who conduct a under cover operation for finding the biggest threat to the society is directed excellently. Though the movie is not a suspense thriller but still it got its scenes which cannot be missed out. The story also tries to tell about why the terrorist wants to attack/kill people and disturb the peace, however the same is overtaken by the planning of the under cover operation by the five cops. The action sequences and the planning and the story are so real to the truth and this movie is must watchable. Director should also get credits for his wonderful skills and for obtaining the best from the actors. This is not a comedy or fun film, still it is enjoyable.

Arjun Kapoor in the lead role is suitably understated but he doesn’t have too much outside the usual “Hum use le kar jayenge chaahe naukri jaye ya jaan” type fare to sink his teeth into. His character remains the same throughout without any layers to add to the mystery. The movie does have a good story, but unfortunately, its full potential has not been mined.

Another film on terrorism and nasty terrorist. The idea of nabbing them is nice, only if presented with genuine thrill and realistic ploy. Arjun Kapoor along with his group of eight unassuming men set out to capture India’s most wanted terrorist in Nepal. Without formal approval & weapons they jump all protocols to pull off a bloodless mission outwitting Pakistani intelligence.

The movie starts off with a blast and we are told about a Ghost who is involved in these serial blasts across the country. The IB is unable to get hold of the terrorist's identity. Meanwhile an IB officer Prabhat in Bihar gets an information about him. Arjun Kapoor has peformed well so far. He has given a restrained performance and I liked that he underplayed it. Other actors have given a good performance. The movie starts off well however the middle portion was quite slow. The interval point was quite intriguing. And I am looking forward to the second half. The editing is a major issue here. The screenplay too could've been better. And the background score is uneven.

While the actors have done a decent job, the story fails miserably. The plot goes back and forth between the bomb blasts and Kapoor’s journey towards nabbing the terrorist. This treatment leaves viewers confused and hinders the story flow. There were several loopholes and the storyline was haywire in the first half. The story eventually follows a single thread in the second half, but that doesn’t help the movie hit the mark.

Arun posted a review for India`s Most Wanted in Movies
The movie presents a realistic, low-key portrayal of an undercover operation. However, this works as a double-edged sword. The absolute lack of dramatisation makes it a slow burn crime drama instead of an edge of the seat thriller that you might expect it to be. Things are underplayed to the extent that they lack the palpable tension that you expect from a story like this. The terrorist’s mindset finds a platform at regular intervals in the form of what jihad means to him, which seems repetitive beyond a point. What then keeps you engaged is the sheer audacity of the covert operation and the officers’ nerves of steel.Amazing movie with breathtaking action sequences.this movie is very good and the plot of the movie is awesome. Overall a complete entertainment and a perfect action movie to watch. The VFX is amazing and top notch in the movie. It's a must watch movie for an action guy.
